Hello, Roxie!

Roxie began her yogic journey when she was a freshman in college in the spring of 2014. She attended her first yoga class and went hoping to ease tension and stress. She knew absolutely nothing about yoga when she first went! After attending a few more classes and beginning a home practice, Roxie wanted to dive deeper and learn more about the other eight limbs of yoga. She read books, watched online tutorials, and attended more classes, but she still felt that she wanted something more. After completing her 200 hour training in July 2018 with Full Circle Yoga School in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Roxie learned so much more than just yoga philosophy. She cultivated a deeper connection to the yogic practice and learned to connect to her highest self. Now, when she practices, her mat is a safe space to be her authentic self and now enjoys holding that space for others when she teaches. Yoga is Roxie’s outlet to connect with her emotions, release physical tension, meditate and ground herself, breathe deeply and consciously, connect to her spirituality and intuition, and allows her to be creative with mindful movements.

Roxie teaches yoga because it cultivates a safe space for introspection, release, and awareness within the body and mind. She loves teaching because it empowers her students to become the most authentic version of themselves while also creating a sense of awareness within the body and mind that may have not been there before. In addition, Roxie values the union and sense of community it brings to every class. She learned that while teaching, you don’t have to be perfect. You show up exactly as you are to share a part of yourself with others and allow yourself to be vulnerable. Roxie believes that this vulnerability is empowering and healing for not only yourself, but for others as well.

You can find Roxie at any Vinyasa Class! She loves heated classes, inversions (especially handstands!), and restorative yoga too. Her favorite pose is Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand). She loves it because, well, it’s fun! Also, Roxie admires the strength and years of discipline it takes in order to do the posture safely and effectively.

Practice with Roxie on Monday’s at 6 pm! Her classes are Vinyasa Flow style that cater to all bodies. She loves guiding her students through flows and connecting the breath with mindful movements. Roxie also loves offering a variety of asanas and variations in order to cater to all students! Roxie also incorporates pranayama and loves to introduce different techniques in every class. She wants her students to feel rejuvenated, energized, and strong throughout the class while also instilling a sense of peace, relaxation, and accomplishment during Savasana.
